How to Submit Adobe / Magento Product Feed to Google Merchant Center Next for Google Shopping Ad Campaign

Are you having a hard time submitting your Adobe / Magento products to Google Shopping? You’re not alone! Whether it’s your first time or your 100th time working with Google Ads and Google Merchant Center Next, there's always something new to learn.

In this guide, we’ll show you how to submit your Adobe / Magento products to Google Merchant Center so you can advertise them on Google Shopping. A helpful tool for this task is the Store Manager for Magento application, which can prepare your feed — even during the free trial period.

Follow the step-by-step instructions below.

Things to Check Before You Submit Your Feed

Your Google Merchant Center account is verified and displays no errors on the homepage https://merchants.google.com/mc/overview.

Your business information is verified and up to date https://merchants.google.com/mc/merchantprofile/businessinfo

Your Google Ads account is linked to your Google Merchant Center Next account.

Steps to Submit Your Product Feed to Google Shopping

1. Open Google Merchant Center Next

Go to https://merchants.google.com/mc/overview and click the gear icon to find the "Data sources" dropdown.

Google offers an option to automatically find products on your online store and update them every 24 hours. Learn more here https://support.google.com/merchants/answer/12158480?hl=en.

If you need a custom feed or if Google can’t detect all your products or product variations, you can upload your feed manually using the [Add Product Source] button.

2. "Add Product Source"

This allows you to submit a feed that includes variations, a limited product range, and/or custom formatting for how your products are displayed on Google Shopping.

3. Choose an Option to Add Products from a File

You can upload a product data source from your website, Google Drive, or directly from your computer.

Here you can find more about Google feed requirements https://support.google.com/merchants/answer/12631822?hl=en.

Store Manager for Magento / Adobe can help you generate this feed. Download the free trial and use free support if needed.

4. Select How to Provide the Feed to Google Merchant Next

Submit a URL to your product feed if it’s hosted on your site.

One more option allows you to select the file from your Google Drive.

You can also upload a file from your computer. This method doesn’t support automatic updates, so only use it if your product list doesn’t change frequently.

Note: At the bottom of the page, you’ll find additional feed settings.

Here, you can select: target countries, language, marketing methods, and feed label.

Make sure to adjust these settings during the upload process, as they’ll apply to future automatic updates as well.

5. Submit Your Magento Feed to Google Merchant Center Next

Click "Continue" to process the feed. You’ll see the results once processing is complete.

6. Check the Feed Status

After uploading, your feed will appear under Data sources → Primary sources.

7. Configure Your Google Shopping Campaign

If the feed is successfully submitted and the number of products matches your feed, head over to your Google Ads account to configure your Google Shopping campaign.

Note: It may take up to 24 hours for your feed to be processed. If products are not visible after that, click on the product feed name to check the current status. We also recommend checking product numbers and feed status by country. If you see any errors, you’ll need to fix them before your products appear in Google Shopping.

Once everything is complete, go ahead and launch your Google Shopping campaign from your Google Ads account.
